SOMNOmedics at DGK 2025 – Medical Technology in Dialogue with Research and Practice

Our team looks back on a successful participation in the 91st Annual Meeting of the German Society of Cardiology (DGK), which took place from April 23 to 26, 2025, at the Congress Center Rosengarten in Mannheim. Once again, we were present with our own booth and had the pleasure of welcoming numerous healthcare professionals and trade visitors.

Our cardiodiagnostic solutions were the focus of many discussions. Visitors showed particular interest in the ABPMpro for 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring and the SOMNOtouch™ NIBP, which enables continuous, non-invasive, and cuff-free blood pressure measurement. Our cardio-respiratory systems – especially the SOMNOtouch™ RESP and the more economical SOMNOtouch™ RESP eco – also received very positive feedback, particularly for their suitability in clinical settings.

A special highlight of this year’s congress was the presentation of the AG 35 Heart-Sleep-Circulation Abstract Prize, which honors outstanding scientific work at the intersection of cardiology and sleep medicine. As a sponsor of this award, SOMNOmedics actively supports young scientists and interdisciplinary research in the fields of heart, sleep, and circulation.

In 2025, the AG 35 jury awarded the prize to Dr. Philipp Hegner (University Hospital Regensburg). The title of his award-winning abstract is:

“Sleep disordered breathing and atrial fibrillation are associated with dysregulation of circadian rhythm in human myocardium.”

We warmly congratulate Dr. Hegner on this special recognition and are pleased to contribute to the visibility of innovative research.
