SOMNOmedics — at the 31st European Meeting on Hypertension and Cardiovascular Protection (ESH) in Athens, Greece

On June 17-20, 2022, part of the SOMNOmedics team travelled to Athens, Greece to attend the 31st European Meeting on Hypertension and Cardiovascular Protection. Even though the congress was held as a hybrid event, we decided to travel to Greece because we wanted to finally see customers and specialists in person again.

The congress started on Friday, 17th June 2022. Our SOMNOmedics team warmly welcomed existing customers and attendees who were interested in learning about our products. We showcased our innovative solutions for long-term blood pressure measurement with or without cuff (or even hybrid solutions!). With a little help from the Greek god eros visitors used a bow and arrow to aim at a blood pressure on a target to win prizes from us.

Besides getting to know our cuffless SOMNOtouch™ NIBP for continuous long-term blood pressure measurement based on the Pulse Transit Time, we also had the brand-new ABPMpro – a cuff-based device that can be upgraded to a Holter ECG or even a hybrid solution (oscillometric AND continuous blood pressure measurement simultaneously.)

This years´ annual meeting programme paid a lot of attention to nocturnal blood pressure. Our session “The Challenge of Night-Time Blood Pressure Measurement” specifically addressed this important topic and the session was held by Prof. Dr. Parati and Prof. Dr. Patzak on Sunday afternoon. Although we would have liked to have had a few more people in the audience, we were quite pleased with the excellent presentations, new insights and the professional exchange and discussion at the end.
