For more than 20 years, SOMNOmedics has been producing and selling sleep diagnostic devices – always with a view of the vineyard “Am Sonnenstuhl”, that directly encloses the company building. After acquiring part of the vineyard in 2020, the time has finally come: our first own wine, a Sauvignac, is ready for tasting.

The Sauvignac is a new, fungus-resistant, and drought- robust grape variety – a cross between Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling and resistance partners. This means that its vines have resistance to the worst pests in viticulture, namely downy mildew and grey mould rot. In this way, the use of pesticides can be reduced or even avoided altogether.

Sustainability and conscious use of our resources is a guiding theme at SOMNOmedics, to which great importance is attached both in everyday life and in the design of the working environment. Thus, this innovative grape variety fits perfectly into our portfolio and invites to broaden our horizons.
